1) After the last Our Father, make a 4 loop knot.

2) Leave a small space for the crossbar and make an 8 loop knot (can be two 4 loop knots tightened together). Cut off the extra cord and heat seal the knot.

Crossbar: Using the spare piece of twine cut from the joining knot, lay it flat and place the unfinished Cross on it, on the small space in between the 4 and 8 loop knots. Bring each end up around and tie a knot like tying a shoelace (X) and tighten.

3) Make a 4 loop knot and tighten very securely. Cut off the extra cord and heat seal the end of the knot.

Modifications in the number of loops per knot can be made to individual preferences. For example, if you prefer a smaller Cross, make the 4 loop knots into 3 loop knots, and so on.
